Carne Asada Festival

The Carne Asada Festival is an annual fund raising event sponsored by the San Carlos Rotary and the PTA of the Ranchitos Elementary School. The club procures all the necessary materials, provides advertising, and mans the concessions. The parents and teachers do all of the cooking for the Carne Asada so that the food is prepared in an authentic Mexican fasion. Entertainment is provided by the school children and other folk dancers from the local area.

All of the net proceeds go to the PTA to be spent on school projects of their choice. Normally, the projects include building maintenance and improvements to the primary school and kindergarten. Last year over $3000 U.S. was raised for the PTA.
